I think it is very unlikely that a live action film will be made. If there is to be one I certainly don't think it will have the elements that are in the animated show. In the end they'll just change the name anyway!

Well, if that's the case, then as far as I'm concerned there is no Aeon Flux movie.

A live action Aeon Flux movie. Great Idea, we should work on that right after we finish work on the helicopter with an ejection seat. Everyone assumes because its going to be a movie, oh, we have to make it live action (though the full feature length movie "Beavis and Butt Head do America fared quite well.) The problem with live action is starpower. Hollywood has this goofy formula about animated to live action. They think you should get the biggest star (the most popular at the time) and forget about what they consider a silly notion: any resemblence to the animation it was based on(other than the title, which will have a bright and shiny different Logo.) That's a growing problem too. The Tombraider is being made into a movie soon, and an opinion poll has Sandra Bullock rated the 1# pick for Lara, beating out several other big names, and a few of the British Actresses who modeled for the Development of Lara. The biggest Loser was probably Lara Croft, who ranked 8th to play herself(the movie would be computer animated.) I also heard about an X-men live action movie (I was an X men fan up until about 1994) And one of the recommended picks for Wolverine (My former fav character) was Robert DeNiro, who would make an Excellent Wolverine. But no, I heard Arnold Schwarzennger was picked, obivously not because they could hype him being their(That was sarcasism. Sometimes its hard to make it come of in text.) I know I really didn't talk about Aeon much, but my point was that there are lot of stupid money-hungry people, and sadly, many of them are in control of The movie industry. Hopefully, Peter Chung will not make it live action, but if he does, I hope he decides to protect it from the Ultra Starpower and Special Effects hype teams. Aeon Flux never needed some millionaire Movie Star, or ultra cool Special Effects, and it never will. The show is what makes the show. "What you truely want, only I can give."-- Trevor Goodchild

I don't necessarily think the idea of an Aeon Flux live action flick is great, but I think I've found the actress to play her:

Lauren Bacall!

Pity I'm about fifty years too late. (sigh.) If you limited me to young actresses right now - Uma Thurman, maybe.

I have considered the possibility of an Aeon Flux feature film but I have heard nothing. I do think the actor Juian Sands would make the perfect Trevor Goodchild , due to his accent and high hairline. What do you think of Lucy Lawless playing the role of Aeon, if the trimmed down? Personally I would like to see a no name actress play the part; someone we have seen or heard of before.

No on lucy lawless. even if she lost weight, her face would be waaay to round for Fon. I'm going to think really hard for the next couple of days for an Fon, not like it'd matter at all. I'll get back with my pick.

Courtney Cox. Movie magic can make her look tall enough.

-- Owen Black (Ob200bpm@aol.com), September 08, 1998.

Courtney Cox cannot play Aeon. She doesn't have the personality. It would probably be quite comical to see her try. Lucy Lawless could, she has that mean streak in her. But, if anyone were to play Aeon, it would be Sandra Bullock, simply because she's the bascially the biggest name in hollywood, and the fact she simply couldnt play the part right won't stop them. Starpower is all that moviemakers care about. Honestly, I don't care who they cast for the movie, and basically, I don't care if they even make the movie, becuase chances are about 100% it will be live action. And you can imagine how big a disaster it will be. Can you say "Waterworld" boys and girls? I knew you could. On the off chance (Like a snowstorm's chance in hell, seriously)that its animated, there's no questiong, we want Denise and John to reprise their roles as Aeon and the man she loves to hate, or is it hates to love, or uh, well, its something.

I don't think the tallness is an issue - Aeon's only 5'8", and they're growin' 'em lanky in Hollywood these days. I still stand by my casting decision - the problem of getting Lauren Bacall out of the forties and into the modern age will be considerably easier than adapting Aeon Flux to live action. I had another interesting thought for an actress though - how 'bout Milla Jovovich? This has the added bonus of bringing Luc Besson into the picture - he'd make a great director for an Aeon movie. And no, Milla's natural hair color isn't bright orange. She's got the reediness, I think she has the acting skills - the only thing she doesn't have are the breasts or the hips. Breasts are easy to fake, but hips could be a problem...

funny i was thinking about her too. for all the uninformed, she played leeloo in the 5th element. Obviously, you'll never get a live action star to fit the emaciated frame that every character has in AF, but milla would be good as well, despite the breasts (Fon's whopping 40's!!) and hips shouldnt be a big issue. i mean, are you looking at her hips the whole time? i just want to say that i love Chungs early cells of aeon that cn be found at d-section. like the ones of her crouching and running and shooting.

An unknown actor would be good. It would add that myserious/engimatic touch that the role would require. I think to try and fit Aeon into some one that we already know is to restrictive. You might see the perfect Aeon walking down the street, she does'nt have to be already acting or (gulp) a celebrity.

I think Aeon should be asian.
