I was told that the old "Redlicks Building" (17 Reasons Why)on the corner of 17th & Mission is a SF landmark. Does anybody have any history on this old building and/or know if it is truly a city landmark? Any historical information about the corner of 17th & Mission would be helpful. Thank you! Wendy

The Landmarks Board would have info on the building if they designated it a city historical landmark.

I have two "LANE" Cedar boxes, the small ones given at graduation that came from Redlick's Furniture Store, 17 Reasons Why was their slogan.

The Redlick's furniture store was opened in 1917 and they put up the sign in 1935, complete w/ red neon trim. It stayed lit until they closed down in 1975. Sadly the current own has taken down the sign and replaced it with an illegal billboard. The Mission community is trying to get it back up. For more information check out http://www.17reasonswhy.org
