Perfect on Hyper Sports archery

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MAME Action Replay : One Thread

Has anybody done this, I can get about six perfects but then lose my nerves. What happens? I heared that a bonus is awarded and also that three apples come on.

Also, what are the perfect angles for the triple jump?

I hope we're talking about the arcade game not the nintendo game. I can only get 7/8 perfects so I wonder the same thing. The perfect angles for triple jump are 35/41/45 and if you do this and jump off the board a plane comes across the top and you get 3000 points.

I think that plane at triple jump comes if you get 35,41,45 and first jump crosses the line, AND if you haven't qualified on that round before this jump. Might also be that you'll get it only if you're not getting into top 3 record list. Archery, not so easy, it just happens when it will. I've gotten with mame a few times 4600(all except 1 perfect). The first time I got 4600 was sadly missed with last arrow. I've gotten apples/perfect at arcade machine about 900 years ago. It's my near future intention to see if I can break TG record using mame. As a side effect I might eat some apples on the way. It's going to come sooner or later by someone here.

see you later, space invader

Swimming - Dead heat 3000 bonus

Skeet Shoot - 1st perfect 3000 Bonus (shoot the bird in the opposite side target to which it appears on the screen), 2nd perfect 4000, 3rd perfect 6000.

Long Horse - Don't know how to get a bonus in this one - but there must be one

Archery - All Eight arrows perfect - 3000 bonus followed by 3 apples 1000 each, 2nd perfect 4000 followed by apples, 3rd perfect 6000. - Max score - 13800 - I've seen it done!!!!!!

Triple Jump - 35, 41, 45 are the angles on the board and you get the bonus plane - Max Jump 19m35.

Weightlifting - Hit both run buttons as the weight is dropped - 1000 bonus.

Pole Vault - Hit the board perfect (speed 1050 on first round) and you get a bonus of 1000, then 2000, then 4000, then 8000 until you miss.

Hope this helps.

Correction : max jump on Triple Jump is NOT 19.35m . There`s an INP by me here somewhere with a jump of 19.39m .

I also got a 19.48m , but wasn`t recording , just practicing :( I`ll e-mail you a snapshot.

For long horse you do a half rotation and land on your head you get 3 thousand. What are your top arcade game scores. Mine is 390,000.

Mine is over 180 000 in one round, at arcade, when I was young, fast and beautiful :)

Mine was 678,000 , losing the game, as always ,on 6th Round swimming ( 45sec00 ).

I didn`t really bother playing machines with settings at one round only , so can`t quote any scores there .

Ahh yes...back when I was young , fast , and sober(-ish ).....

I used to be able to get full perfects occasionally on Hyper Sports. After you get all perfects you get three sequential big red apples moving downward rather than the target. Best I ever did was all 8 perfects, hit three apples, then the next turn on archery I also hit all 8 perfects, followed by two out of three apples (I lost it on the third apple, but man oh man was my timing on that day!).

The perfect angles on triple jump are 35°, 41°, and 45°.

By the way, on the subject of an earlier topic of bonuses: to get the bonus on vault, get off the horse, then just turn enough such that you land precisely on top of your head (still 0 turns registered). You bounce a few times on top of your head, a light fixture falls from the ceiling, and you get something like 3000 points.

It's the easiest bonus to get!!
