Jim,

I assume you're asking about the Central's Birmingham district from Columbus. It entered Birmingham from the east after joining Southern's mailine at Weems, just east of Norris Yard. Passenger trains remained on Southern into Birmingham Terminal, while freights left the Southern at Woodlawn Junction and took Centrals' own track over to Frisco's East Thomas Yard.

Central's only 'street-running' would have been on only about a half-block where it's freight main ran along and crossed 10th Avenue, North before paralleling the Southern across Billy Goat Hill heading towards East Thomas Yard.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more details.
