smarttrack.cgi not working

greenspun.com : LUSENET : S-Mart Shopping Cart : One Thread

I downloaded the new smarttrack.cgi and can't get it to work. I get a internal server error. I set the permissions to 755 and tried 777 but still didnt work. The smart.cfg file is set and works with the smart script. Any ideas on what might be wrong? I can use the admin feature to do the tracking features but the smarttrack.cgi gives me a error. Please help.

Hey Matt, Glad to see I am not the only one having problems with the smartrack.cgi. I am also having probs with the updated admin cgi as well. How did you get it to work? And what version of S-mart.cgi are you currently using with these 2 new updates? I compared the newest cfg file with my old one and can't see any changes other then the version number so I don't beleive that has anything to do with it. I did E-mail Barry regarding this and if I get an answer I will be sure to post it here and email you. Would you please do same should you get an answer? Thanks alot.

Marie,

Thanks for the reply. The only thing I had to do for the admin script to start working with the tracking part was to upload a blank file called track.db the script wouldn't create it for me and since it needs it I made the empty file. It now writes to it and works with the admin. The track script for my customers doesnt work yet. Also make sure the folder that holds your order is set to read/write. Hope this helps.

I am having the same problem. I have a track.id file that has all the information in it but then when use smartrack.cgi it give me an internal server error. I have the permissions set to 755 as well. It drives me crazy that the demo one here works because this is the last piece to get working before I am finished. If anyone has any help on how to get this script working or how their script works I would greatly appreciate it. If I get it working I will let you know Matt.

Best of luck, Rob

track.id is set to 777 but it still does not work. Anyone who can send me their smart.cfg file includeing the name of their store, and tell me their directory structure would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Rob

If you have the track.db in place and smart tracking on in the config you can process your orders, no problem. It doesn't seem to use the smartrack.cgi. My problem is tracking for clients using smartrack.cgi. This is a system error. So far I have narrowed it down to the cookie routine on line 72. (Undefined subroutine &main::GetCookies called at smartrack.cgi line 72) Can anyone tell me a fix for this?

Yep, it's a f**k*n* ERROR maybe we must ask Barry him self.

Your receiving the error because the smartrack.cgi script requires cookie.lib

Through out the code it uses the variable $cookie. The only fix would be to get your hands on the cookie.lib file. If you do get your hands on it, be sure to e-mail it to me.

Thanks

Josh
