Buying Food? DONT GET BURNED!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

There are a large number of emergancy food suppliers. Unfortunatley many offer products that simply don't measure up quality wise to the others. Some even take up to 6 months to recieve. Their prices range from $695 to $2595.00 for a one year supply. So how do you make sure that your getting the best quality? I found a book that answered that question. It rates the top companies and gives there recomendations. I was suprised to find that the largest company that advertises on the internet sells food that has three times the oxygen level content (.6% vs 1.9%)of the others. Not only that but they also buy their food in bulk 55 gallon drums compared to buying fresh! This along with several other diffences add up to LET THE BUYER BEWARE! If you want the truth on freeze dried food call me at 520-541-9727. Leave a detailed message and the best time to call you back. Im happy to help by sharing my research.

Let the buyer beware if you buy from Greg Wiatt. For those of you new to this forum, there have been several go-rounds with this guy.

I just ordered a Golden Harvest Unit from his company. Great service, prices and a super nice guy. I did check his referances by calling Perma Pak. I talked Roslyn @ 1-800-594-8973 extension 130. I would suggest that the people who post such negative baseless comments to do the same.

I would suggest you save a ton o' money, buy what you would otherwise eat. Yes folks, you can get everything you need at your local food store. Dry food, canned food, they have it all. Save even more at a bulk store, Sams or Costco. Think long and hard before spending your money on freeze dried, or MRE type meals. Buy stuff that you would eat even if the S does not HTF.
