SCL at Augusta Ga.

Does anyone have info on existing ACL/SCL freight depot(s)in Augusta? ALSO...Lyle Key's LINES SOUTH article on the Georgia RR, mentioned a SCL Passenger station in Augusta. Is it still standing, and if so, where is its location? When (and why) did SCL vacate Augusta Union Station? Thanks!!!

The former SCL "East Boundary Street Passenger Station" (unofficial nane, I think) is still standing. It is just south of the locomotive facility of the former C&WC yard in Augusta. It is currently used as office/storage space.

The SCL vacated Augusta Union Station in 1968, along with everybody else, when it was closed. It was razed in 1969.
