Last time I saw the movie, It started at 4:00 and ended at 7:15 or so. I'd say the whole thing was about 3 hours and 10 minutes, not counting the comercials.

I've seen the movie in a few different theatres. In one, there was a definite cut of about a minute or so in the scene with Jack and Fabrizzio at the bow watching the dolphins. It totally ruined the scene. I suspect there might have been a problem with the print and it was spliced, cutting out the defective section. I wonder if what Thomas observed, however, may have been due to different projector speeds. The variation in running time is less than 1%.
