Is there any good places to post queries on lost relatives?

Charles Stevens Brewster b. 1898, d. in 1977 on 44th Avenue in San Francisco. I believe he may have had a daughter Ruth Smith. He worked at the Palace Hotel for 28 years, but no reply to my query to them. No help from cremation company. I even wrote to everyone who now lives on 44th street to see if they remember the family. I have the death certificate, but no obits found. He might have served in WWI. I thought about checking records for sale of the house. Any historical archives that might be helpful?
