Response to joint responsibility for repair to house when seperated

It is a joint responsibility as if you lived together. I suppose if one of you lived away from the property and it was something small like a change of wallpaper whoever lived in the property could buy their choice of paper and redecorate at their own cost, providing the joint owner agreed. Everything connected with that property is the responsibility of the owner(s) equally.
