1968 GTO for sale?

from Tyson Mayer (Tyroma@golden.net)
Hello all...

I hadn't really planned or wanted to sell it, but I thought I'd give it a try...

I have a 1968 GTO (...yes a GTO, not a LeMans...) in Carousel Red with black interior. It has a 400ci with a 4 speed (see below for details). The car was frame-on restored by the guy who I bought it from. The dash has a small crack, the radio has been cut out of the dash, but I have an uncut replacement. I installed a vintage Grant wood wheel, and an original Pontiac AM radio (works, just not hooked up to a speaker). I also added a nice three peice guage kit (all working). I took out the Hurst Comp Plus that it came with and put in an original 1969 Judge 4 speed shifter. The tranny is an M21. The rear axle is a 1970 Chevelle 12 bolt with 3.91 Strange gears (new this summer). Car runs low 14's in the quarter mile.

Have brand new carpet, shifter boot and shifter bezel (...just haven't got them installed yet...)

Paint is good, with a few small scratches and bubbles. Wheels are nice with chunky 245 (front) and 275 (rear) tires with less than 500km on them.

This car needs nothing but the owner's personal touches. Asking $26,500 (Canadian) OBO.

This is a pic of the ACTUAL car in my driveway (click the below link).
