fit

from kevin (kml69@hotmail.com)
I had a set welded onto my lemans. It took 45 hours to cut/fit/weld the panles in place . This included replaceing the outer wheel house pieces. They are not the great but very close. My body guy cut the panels at the panel seam/body lines (edges) to keep the original fit of the panels. The replacement end would distort the original demensions if cut and welded as stamped in japan. If no factory panels or doner car ones can be aforded these are a acceptable alternative. The only thing that really bothers me is the wavy upper fender/trunk area. I will have to have many hours of tin banging and some plastic to correct the metal stress (wavy area) this is created by thinner gauge metal used and a single stamping vrs a thicker metal and a two stage stamp.
