Canon XL-2

I was just wondering if any one has heard of an upcoming XL-2?
If not then possibly a 24p High def prosumer camera?
I am waiting for a camera to replace my trusty XL-1s, the Jvc 24p looks great and the new panasonic sounds promissing but, something in my bones tells me that canon will soon blow both of these cams out of the water. any info would be appreciated.
