ieee mpeg2 capturing

hi,

i'm using panasonic NV-DS88 camcoder and it has the feature of i-LINK and using pinacle i can only capture in avi format... i want to capture in mpeg2 format if possible....i connect the camcoder to ieee connector. please help me...
