Response to How do I get 2 DV cams to sync the time code?

I'm late to answer, but here you go...

I'm a documentary filmmaker who's been working in production on multicamera concert shoots for the last 9 months. We've been using miniDV cameras for our concert shoots. We audio record double system to a timecode DAT recorder (I recommend the HHB TC DAT, which generates TC). We then output the TC DAT recorder to a Denecke timecode slate. The Denecke TC slate is then used to sync all of the cameras together. Obviously miniDV cameras cannot import SMPTE timecode, so we use the Denecke TC slate to give us the visual number, which is hour:minute:second:frame. I believe some of the DVCAM cameras import timecode, so you wouldn't need the slate depending on which cameras you were using.

My $0.02.
