What does this poem mean?

from DANGERBOY (artian@charter.net)
I'm submitting this poem of mine (one of my favorites) for any opinion, if you wouldn't mind.

For My Randy (My Karmic Alter-Ego)

Randy, I never asked you: Is it the taste Of the blood or of the metal that I crave When I suck razors?

If there is always light, Then there's always the darkness That's why I sleep with it on.

You got your Face kicked in And now you have a good side.

And if, Or whether I Drink another case or smoke another pack or whether I don't, Or whether I care, I know It won't be all right.

Randy, You were the first boy I ever had Biker Bad Angel Lover The patina of your charm wore thinner than ice on a pond in April -

Were we goodbad, Randy honey, were we evil Yeah, lover Did you ever consider - For even one flash - "Maybe"...?

THE WEAPON TO END ALL WAR IS YOUR SILENCE THE ISM TO END ALL TRUTH IS YOUR ANTHEM You pretend you're LIKE them? THEY pretend they DON'T know! While avoiding the obvious And denying the evidence And burying the bodies Will only come down harder when it Comes.

Thank you, anybody!

Mark Mars
