How can I synchronize my PC with audio editor and a Sony DSR 20P recorder?

I am using a PC to edit a full soundrtack for a film (with Cubase VST or Cool Edit Pro generating midi timecode). I would like to synchronize it with the timecode of a Sony DSR 20P DV recorder via its RS-232C interface to play the video for off-line purpose only (as a base for creating the soundtrack). Is it possible at all? What interface or PC port do I need to use and how to configure them? Thanks Mateusz
