Not much of a pit there, seems a bit tame.(posted 8566 days ago)It is pretty neat that it captures the "crowd as event" part of it.
I just read a book, "Among the Thugs," about these hooligans who go to British soccer matches. They don't much care who wins, or even what happens during the game, as long as they get to go crazy and hurt people and break things.
That's what this photo reminds me of, even if there is no violence.
