I have my images on Geocities and I havenB4t noticed any "annoying advertising windows that are hard to get rid of even after you get rid of them once and they keep coming back" :) Om my pages thereB4s a very very small pop-up in one corner which minimizes itself after few seconds - feel free to take a look(posted 8583 days ago)The catch is that once you sign on, you have to actually build a webpage within a week or two, or they will cancel your account. But itB4s easy - just put up a single page with a couple of pictures and say that this is Steves place, and you 10 Mbs of storage space. The pictures that you link to this forum do not actually have to be visible anywhere on your homepage.
If you choose another web host, please make sure that they allow direct links to images. The host for my online gallery, Crosswinds, does not, and neither do Tripod and Xoom, as far as I know. If you choose Geocities and you have any problems building a page, feel free to ask :)
