What I like about this picture is that it inverts the figure/ground relationship. Normally, the figure would be the center of attention, in focus and correctly exposed, with the background secondary. Here the situation is reversed. Looking at this, I find myself bypassing the obviously erotic in favor of the textures and patterns of the mundane that lies beyond.
