Shawn, I think you worry way too much about equipment issues. You should just work with things until you get comfortable, or if you don't get comfortable, get rid of them and try something else.(posted 8747 days ago)Check out my friend's website at http://www.firstworld.net/~sordido/portraiture.html. He works with cameras that are taped together. His lighting is hot lamps in thrift store lamps that he disassembles. When I first saw how he worked, I couldn't believe it, but it helped remind me that equipment is the least important part of taking great photographs. (The website doesn't have his really good stuff, another friend put it together quickly with stuff that was lying around.)
Use cameras that are comfortable for you to work with. Then stop thinking about them.
