I could go into this in detail here but the best thing to do is get a copy of the Office of Fair Trading "credit problems" leaflet from your local Citizen's Advice Bureau, or from the credit reference company. How to deal with this sort of problem is an area that has been very well covered by the press and consumer rights groups.
