What kind of firewires are there best with my XL1?

I have a Canon XL1 and I wanted to know what I should be looking for when I purchase a firewire. I was told to look into the Radius MotoDV. I am new to the computer side of things but I am trying to catch up. I want to run Adobe Premiere 5.1 to edit with. Any suggestions are very welcome, thank you. SA
