Response to sequensing with cubase

from Galen Beals (galenb@vinton.com)
Hey Tamir,

Cubase is funny. the first number (Bank) is of course the bank i.e. 100, 200, 300 and so on. the second number is the program in that bank. So, program 236 on the K2000 would be bank = 200 program = 36... Right? NOPE! Here is where Cubase gets funny. you have to add 100 to all bank numbers and 1 to all program numbers. So, 236 would actually be Bank = 300 Program = 37. Ugh! I know it sounds screwy but it does work. I had to figure this out for myself to There might be a better way that lets you just enter the numbers as they appear on the k2000.

Also, remember to set the "Control" parameter to MIDI instead of BOTH or LOCAL on the MIDI page in the K2000. If you don't, you well get a Midi echo that will reduce your polyphony by half. Also, remember to set it back when you are not using cubase otherwise, you won't hear anything when you hit the keys.
