Response to sonnet in a random universe

from ilza (ilza@pobox.com)
a poem, not a song ? la la la ? . this is as close as I can get : . Sometimes

Lost in ancient crypts of dreams that invade my head Haunting spectres of lonliness invade the covers of my bed

Way beyond the dark horizons of my thoughts where the ocean meets the sea, Sometimes dreams must die to set them free.

Sometimes I go crazy; sometimes I am sane.

Sometimes its hard to remember, it's better to forget. Curse and blessing belong to a past, whose future's not written yet.

Sometimes flowers bloom over a dead man's grave. Inconsequential twists of fate reverse master and slave.

Sometimes I go crazy; sometimes I am sane.

Sometimes the light goes out before you're ready to sleep. Peace and harmony tear at my throat as I lie there and weep.

Sometimes you reach out your hand and feel nothing but pain. Sunlit meadows melt to grey; can't do nothing 'bout the rain.

Sometimes I go crazy; sometimes I am sane.
