Response to Where is the color bar function on XL1?

first turn the dial to the all auto green box (it only works in this mode) next hold down both shutter speed buttons (the last two nubs on the triangular piece on the bottom left side) simultaneously for about 5 seconds. there on. hit record. run for a minute. stop recording. and do it again to turn off bars. pointless feature thusly explained.
