Visitura editing

I'm planning on using a Visitura to shoot a feature and I came across something interesting. It can be hooked up to a VCR and unless I misread something, you can do linear editing with it! Obviously not a great job of editing, but a rough cut on VHS that you can show around. Has anyone tried this? What were the results?
