Nancy, I can't seem to find walts "Oh captain, my captain" verse but I do remember another poem by him that pertains to the civil war and Lincoln it is titled, When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom'd You can find the poem on page 775 of the Norton Anthology of Poetry 3rd edition .
